| A newer feature of the ASNSW is the Patient
Transport Service which frees Emergency Care Ambulances from ferrying
patients between medical facilities, nursing homes etc. These vehicles are
only meant to transport patients pre-booked and are not meant for
emergency transportation. The Ambulances are white with green with green
and while checkerboard markings and are staffed by Patient Transport
Officers.
